The DCM of Nagpur Division was held on 21.10.2021 at Gunjan Hall, Nagpur. The Chief Guest of the DCM GS Com. Venu P. Nair was given a warm welcome by offering him flower bouquet amidst sky rocketing sloganeering . DS/SUR read his report, which was placed for deliberation by the house after that all the Branch Secretaries briefed the DCM about their branch activities. The entire hall was jam packed with the activist members included a large number of women & youth members.
GS Com. Venu P. Nair addressed the audience amidst huge slogan shouting. First he took stock of all the branches and asked every branch to increase the membership to the maximum. He mentioned that NRMU is the only union, which raises against the injustices meted out to employees. He urged that all the branches should oppose wherever there is injustice to any staff including contract staff like House Keeping and C&W department.
GS urged everyone to learn from results of KRCL election and stay united and to be alert at all levels. NRMU in its constitution has kept posts for women at all levels and they should also be included in the DCM also. He explained in details about the modalities of elections for recognition of union and how the government conspired to get the government sponsored union BMS to get recognized.
The DCM ended with a positive note amidst huge slogan shouting.
