An International Conference of ITF (Asia Pacific Region ) was held at Manila-Philippines from 16.10.2022 to 18.10.2022. Com. Venu P. Nair, GS/NRMU/C.Rly. and AGS/AIRF was part of the delegation nominated by AIRF.
A large number of delegates representing different transport organizations around Asia Pacific Region have attended the conference. Br. David Gobe, Chair of ITF Railway Section Steering Committee & ITF officials have graced the occasion with their presence. Representatives of Trade Union from various transport sector have presented their reports.
Com. Venu P. Nair, while presenting his report has emphasized on the efforts of All India Railwaymen’s Federation and NRMU to promote their participation of youth and women workers in the organizational functioning.
A statistical analysis of participation of youth and women workers in AIRF & NRMU along with their assignments in different posts as office bearers were also presented by him. he also stresses upon the efforts of AIRF and NRMU to organize contractual workers engaged in Railway Industry. His report was well received by the audience and all the dignitaries arrived from affiliates of ITF around to globe appreciated it with thunderous applause.
